عن الفنان — أحمد علاوي

نحّات وخزّاف عراقي، مقيم في الدوحة منذ عام 1999

وُلد أحمد علاوي في بغداد عام 1968، وتخرّج حاملًا بكالوريوس الفنون الجميلة عام 1994. منذ ذلك الحين، يشتغل على مزج التراث الإسلامي بالحرفية المعاصرة، عبر منحوتات برونزية، أعمال خزفية، سجاد فني، وخط عربي أصيل، مستلهمًا من حركة الخيول العربية وجماليات الحرف العربي.

في عام 1999 انتقل إلى الدوحة وأسّس شركته الخاصة "Just Art" لتنفيذ الأعمال الفنية، وتولى إدارة معرض فني على كورنيش الدوحة، لتصبح الشركة منطلقًا لأعمال فنية استثنائية امتدت لاحقًا إلى مشاريع كبرى تزين الطرق والأنفاق والأبراج والفنادق في الخليج.

أبرز الإنجازات

• جائزة التميز 2010 — عن مشاركته في المسابقة العالمية الأولى لتجميل مكة المكرمة، تحت رعاية صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير خالد الفيصل أمير منطقة مكة المكرمة، بمشاركة 13 دولة عربية وإسلامية.
• أعمال ملكية — تشرّف بتنفيذ أعمال فنية خاصة لشخصيات خليجية بارزة، من بينها صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم.
• مشاريع كبرى — أعمال فنية بارزة تزيّن الطرق والأنفاق والأبراج والفنادق في مختلف أنحاء الخليج، من بينها مشروع تزيين نفق الجوازات في قطر.

فلسفة العمل

كل قطعة فنية — سواء كانت منحوتة برونزية، جدارية سيراميك، سجادًا فنيًا، أو لوحة تجمع بين الخط العربي والتشكيل — تُصنع يدويًا وتُوقّع من الفنان، وتأتي مرفقة بشهادة أصالة معتمدة. هذا الالتزام بالحرفية اليدوية والتوقيع الشخصي هو ما يميّز أعمال علاوي عن القطع المصنّعة بالجملة المتوفرة في السوق.

About the Artist — Ahmed Allawi

Iraqi sculptor and ceramicist, based in Doha since 1999

Ahmed Allawi was born in Baghdad, Iraq, in 1968, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (graduated 1994). Since then, he has dedicated his career to merging Islamic heritage with contemporary craftsmanship — through bronze sculptures, ceramic works, artistic carpets, and authentic Arabic calligraphy, drawing on the movement of Arabian horses and the visual rhythm of Arabic script.

In 1999, Allawi relocated to Doha and founded his own company, Just Art, dedicated to producing fine art commissions, and directed an art gallery on the Doha Corniche. The company became a launchpad for exceptional artistic works that later extended to major projects adorning roads, tunnels, towers, and hotels across the Gulf.

Recognition & Milestones

• Award of Excellence, 2010 — for his contribution to the First Islamic International Competition for the Beautification of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, held under the patronage of HRH Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of the Makkah Region, with participation from 13 Arab and Islamic countries.
• Royal Commissions — honored to create exclusive artworks for prominent Gulf figures, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
• Major Public Projects — large-scale artworks featured on roads, tunnels, towers, and hotels across the Gulf region, including the Passport Tunnel decoration project in Qatar.

Every piece — whether a bronze sculpture, a ceramic mural, an artistic carpet, or a painting fusing calligraphy and form — is handcrafted, personally signed by the artist, and accompanied by an official Certificate of Authenticity, shipped with white-glove global care. This commitment to handmade, signed work is what distinguishes Allawi's pieces from mass-produced statues common in the market.
